My Exotic Trip Part I
When I first had that dream to “travel Brazil” I did not imagine how much fun I wo
uld have it. I am back from my fantastic trip to Brazil and words cannot begin to describe the richness and exotica of the city that is known as the Paris of South America. Of course I am talking about the legendary city of Rio De Janeiro, which is the home of some of the most beautiful European architecture and some of the most incredible statuary in the Southern America.
When you travel Brazil it is hard not to think of its landmarks. I am still in awe of the majesty of the enormous stature of Christ the Redeemer that towers on top of the Corcovado. I had a wonderful view of this spectacular monument from out of the window of a cable car. When you think of travel Brazil it is a bit like a James Bond film in that regard.
The food in Brazil in general was also fantastic. When you travel Brazil think great cuisines I was able to order American style meals at my beachfront hotel but taking trips into the city was the best way to sample Southern American cuisine at its best. During my travel Brazil trip I sampled everything from the typical asiago lunch (which was accompanied by live musicians playing gaucho music) to the thick and juicy slabs of prime cut served up at the local steakhouses. When you travel Brazil think yummy.
Although many people associate Rio De Janeiro with transvestites, carnivals and glittering red light districts very few people also recognize that just outside the city the landscape becomes very rural. I definitely enjoyed touring the sugar cane plantations from which the country manufactures ethanol to fuel its cars and other vehicles. It is also hard not to travel Brazil and marvel at how fuel-efficient it is to the United States.
I also enjoyed a trip to a typical ranch where the country’s excellent beef stock is raised. This is the stuff that comprises the country’s famous Churrascara, which is a feast made of specially marinated barbecued meats.
Another highlight of my travel Brazil trip was my visit to Igassu Falls, which is the waterfall that has the greatest breadth in the entire world. The natural flora and fauna in South America is beautiful and the more you travel away from the city the more intense and omnipresent the gorgeous greenery and oversized floral blossoms are. However one of my favorite parts of the trip was simply relaxing on beautiful Ipanema beach during the day and at night visiting the famous Copacobana nightclub. Don’t forget to enjoy the nightclub action when you travel Brazil.
In Part II of this article I will go through my travel Brazil itinerary a little more and describe to you how I managed to see so much of the Southern American experience in a short but very enjoyable ten days vacation. That way when you make up your own travel Brazil itinerary you will have some good advice.
